The Resort Gardens:

…. The initial entry into the Resort is through lots  of greenery  …..

……. Thick fern and shrub plants planted  among the bush boulders and horizontal logs, effectively helps the  retaining on a steep slope ….

….. Basalt bush boulders and horizontally placed old bush logs act as informal  retaining on a steep slope ….

…..  A footpath in aggregate concrete above the spacious  entry and exit into the Resort …. a whorled pattern in the aggregate  mimics  the wave patterns on the nearby beach. This was obtained by working in conjunction  with the aggregate concrete contractors by using a flexible hose to  give  bends and twists and then lighter gravel thrown into the darker mix.

.…..  A basalt bush boulder marks the initial  entry into the front lower courtyard ….

…. The lower front courtyard with a  wide aggregate paving …..  leading to a dry creek which drains water off the site ….

……. A small timber footbridge leads from the entry street into the lower front courtyard ….

… An  entry path leads across the timber footbridge ….  across a level area and up several steps to the covered  parking areas. This then leads to the main foyer area ….

……. Greenmount Beach Resort is a prominent sign when you come to the Resort itself …

The Swimming Pool At The Back Of The Resort:

.…The Swimming Pool at the Resort ….  in 1980 the pool was a black natural colour with flowing aggregate paving and rounded edges ….. now it is an aquamarine colour with ochre paving tiles …

… Basalt boulders terrace the embankment on the north side of the pool …. see above and below …..

….  A nice tiled cafe area has been built in recent years so that guests can swim in the pool or sit in a  quiet cafe area which looks at the quiet pool or the nearby sea ….

….The dry-stacked flowing brick walls behind the Resort ….

Inside the Resort
