Red Clivia in flower. Clivia were in flower everywhere on Mt. Tamborine. See these YouTube videos on growing and maintaining Clivias on this website. Also see the Flower Power website as well. As well as orange flowered forms there are also newer colour varieties of clivia available including red-orange, yellow and cream. There are also bi-colours that are orange with a strong yellow throat. These cultivars however are still new and may need to be hunted for in specialist nurseries or from mail-order bulb or perennial nurseries

Arum lilies in flower.
See this website on Arm lilies. This white lily with large spathes is widely used as a cut flower. However, the plants of the Arum Lily will engulf gutters, streams, waterways and wetland bogs. It is now a widespread environmental weed. The green form called ‘Green Goddess’ is also invasive and can be found clogging up natural waterways.
